She was born in Wheeler, TX on October 2,1932 and grew up with her brother and three sisters. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening, John Wayne films, and playing rummy with her family.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband Robert (Bob) Larson, her parents, Dani Estellene(Pud) Mize-Shurfield and Abraham (Abe) Douglas, her son, Bobby Rambo, her brother Jarial Shurfield, and her sisters Helen Huerta and Sue Ann Dehart.
She is survived by her children, Donna Posey of Ft. Smith, AR, David McWhirter of Ft. Smith, AR, Phyllis McWhirter of Ft. Worth, TX, and Steve Larson of Bois D'Arc, MO, as well as, her sister Margie Mustakas, eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.
