Services for Billie Jean Birdwell Puckett will be held graveside, 2:00 pm Saturday, November 22, 2014 at Burns Cemetery in Trenton, Texas. Friends are invited for viewing and to visit with the family 1:30 to 2:00 pm at the grave. Billie passed away Sunday, November 16, 2014 in Arlington at the age of 84.
Billie was born at home, January 8, 1930 in Fannin County, Texas to Claud Birdwell and Pearl Compton Birdwell. She worked as an electronics assembler for Raytheon for 25 years. She married Doug O. Puckett in July 3, 1959. He preceded her in death November 17, 1988. She was also preceded in death by her parents, and one sister, Dorthea Sharp, February 3, 2009.
Survivors include her only child, daughter, Judy Maxwell and her husband Wayne of Grand Prairie, one brother, Tommy Birdwell of San Saba and one sister, Brenda McCune of Red Oak, three grandchildren; Ginger Sommer, Brandy Curtis, and Nicole Bernard all of Illinois, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
