Bobbie’s greatest pleasure in life was her husband George Hemrick together 60 years they built a life of work, travel and love.
Bobbie went to college at TCU and graduated with a business degree in a time that this was quite a task. While in school she worked at SW Bell Telephone where she climbed the corporate ladder becoming the first female Supervisor working there 35 years before retiring.
Some of Bobbies proudest moments were sewing quilts for her nieces and nephews that she would give to them for their weddings, creating bibs for Cooks Children’s Hospital for the baby’s heart monitors, sewing lovies for the preemies and countless other activities that helped others.
She and George shared a passion for genealogy and creating records that date our heritage back to the 1800’s where she loved to share with us the tail that our Great,Great grandfather a Choctaw Indian Chief lead the trail of tears.
Their church family was very important to them they attended St Matthews and assisted in the children’s church for many years. She prided herself on her yard peonies she brought from her mother-in-law in Kansas along with her favorite blue hydrangea’s.
We all enjoyed our days with Aunt Bobbie we have lived, laughed and loved each other through good times with “the best water in town” and bad. Our Love for Christ still remains strong. We are happy she is at peace now and finally back with both of her true loves.
Bobbie is preceded in death by her loving husband George, parents Inez & Avery Hines, siblings Avery Hines Jr., Linda Thiede, Patty Capshaw, Betty Brown, She is survived by sisters, Shirley Schumacher and Kay Ellis. Bobbie & George did not have any children of their own however they treasured being in the lives of their many nieces and nephews.
