Reverend Bobby E. Henderson Jr

Bobby E. Henderson Jr was born May 8, 1967 to the late Bobbie E. Henderson Sr and Gale L. Henderson in Fairfield, CA on Travis Air Force Base. He was the oldest of three children. Bobby transitioned Sunday evening September 20, 2020 and was preceded in death by his father, Bobbie Sr.

Bobby moved to Toledo, OH when he was 2 years old. He attended Macomber High School, ITT Tech and Bowling Green State University before going into the Army. Bobby was involved in many sports and activities growing up – gymnastics, basketball, track and field and football.

He was initiated into the Epsilon Theta chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. in Spring 1986. When it comes to sports, he was a diehard New York Giants, Ohio State Buckeyes, and Portland Trailblazers fan.

He was a long-time member at Calvary Church located in Irving, TX. He became a minister while at Calvary Church. He was a faithful Man of God and his main legacy in life was to be able to win souls to Christ and he did just that. He never complained and was a bright light in the midst of his pain. He was the best counselor, encourager, and inspiration to all.

Bobby leaves to cherish his memory, mother, Gale; wife, Lona; daughter, Bianca (Skyler) Clayton, granddaughter Eva Clayton; brother, Maurice; sister, Truda Nathan; nieces, Truda Pace (Truda), Sara (Truda); nephew, Joshua (Truda); great niece, Journee (Truda P) and a host of relatives and friends.
