I worked with David on the French Riviera, protecting Mrs. Chambers. I learned a bit late about his passing, and I am sorry. He was an exceptional man.

Dave was on assignment in Houston,TX. TO PROTECT  or accompany some important person.  My sister in law,Gayle and husband my brother , Bob went to see him. He led my brother & Gayle onto the elevator with some address to my brother as to him being a senator or something, loud enough for those crowded around to hear and be impressed!  I  was impressed by such a impressive uncle to my sister in law, GAYLE.

Dear Dave’s Family,

So sorry for your loss   I worked with Dave when we were both patrolman  on the Police force in Ellwood City,Pa. In the early 1960’s. He was a great guy to work with and to have as a friend. He will be sorely missed. May he Rest in Peace 👍❤️🙏❤️

I miss my Uncle Dave so much. I was  oh so proud of him. He will always have a special place in my heart. 

My deceased wife, Wanda Mae Carter Gerbich, was Betty Balldelli's sister. We had many great times together , living in the D,C, Virginia ,Maryland area. Dave and I shared  good times on deer hunts in Pa. "May God hold them in hollow of his hand". Please extend our love and sympathy.  Rich, Scottie , Jeff, Will and Tim , to Amy and Lindsay 

I am so sorry for your loss. My dad, Haley Sowell was a friend of David’s from way back and always spoke so highly of him. He cherished their friendship. Haley passed away a few years ago as well. Your family is in our family’s thoughts and prayers. 

My Uncle Dave was so special to me growing up with him in Ellwood City, Pa. I was always so proud of him especially when he became a Secret Service Agent. He always had a special place in my heart. He had many accomplishments in life but always stayed humble.  He will never be forgotten.  Nephew Denny

i remember about a year ago poppops was upset because his fingers where too big for his phone so i taught him how to use voice recordings and he sent a million of them to lulu and amy. 

I spent a lot of time over at the Baldelli house when I was growing up.  Mr. B was always so caring and welcoming, so funny and warm.  He led an amazing life, and raised some pretty amazing daughters.  His legacy will live on in his children and grandchildren.  My prayers are with you, Amy and Lindsay, as well as your children.  

Seems like forever that I knew Dave. I was Honored to be in his wedding to Betty;. she was one of my dearest friends and I always thought of Dave as  being a dear friend too.  I nParticular, i remember a wonderful long weekend we spent with Betty and Dave at Lake Comal   years ago. Sadly, I haven’t seen him now in several years. I do remember with great fondness the fun we 4 always had together when my dear husband Bob was alive.  I Remember clearly a wonderful weekend we spent in Dallas several years ago when my stepson,, Dave,, received an NCAA award and Betty and Dave were there to share our joy  with us. It was such a wonderful time for all of us because we didn’t get together much after we both got married and went in different directions geographically.  Fortunately, we could always get in great “phone fixes” which kept us up to date. 
But the great times were never often enough!  He is now with Betty, and I'm sure she was waiting for him with open arms.  Not seeing  or hearing from them again is rather devastating because I just always knew I could call there and have a wonderfully friendly conversation with loads of laughs  with one or both of them.  Much love to their lovely daughters during this sad time.  Your parents were the best!!  Carol Joyner

I knew Dave and his wife from Ellwood City where we both grew up, they were the sweetest kindest peeps in the world. Dave took me on a hair raising motorcycle ride that I loved. I lost touch with them over the years and of course always thought that we would have a joyous reunion at some point. I actually was trying to get in touch with him around the day he passed. The reunion will have to wait!

Dave was a great person and a dear friend.  I will miss my many talks with Dave and time spent with Dave in France and Atlanta. Dave always had a positive and caring manner. I loved Dave like a brother. Dave loved his family and never spoke negative of any person. Heaven gained a true angel. Jim Posey
