Delia graduated from Eastwood High School in El Paso, Tx in 1965. That year she enlisted in the United States Navy where she eventually served her country at the Pentagon in Washington, D.C. It was there in 1966, that she met Raymond Thomas Milite who was also serving in the United States Navy. They married on March 25, 1966.
In 1966, when Delia became pregnant, she was honorably discharged from the Navy. In December of that year, their first daughter, Angela was born. Four years later, their second daughter, Tresa was born. For 20 years, Delia followed her husband around the country as he was stationed up and down the East coast before finally retiring at NAS Dallas in 1981.
It was here that Delia began working at Children’s Medical Center in Dallas where she was the Student Medical Coordinator. All the medical students that completed their pediatric rotation at Children’s during her tenure knew and loved her.
After retiring, she spent as much time as possible in Phoenix, Arizona doting on her grandkids. Delia had a fantastic sense of humor, enjoyed reading and loved being with her family. She will be missed.
Delia was predeceased by her parents and is survived by her daughter, Angela Milite Chaney and her husband John, her daughter, Tresa Milite Kon and her husband Kevin, her grandchildren, Atticus and Harper Doan and her brother, Edward Johnson and his wife Cheryl.
