On Wednesday morning, January 13, 2021; Dolores Ann Golovich, a loving wife, mother and grandmother joined the angels at age 90.
Dolores was born in Toledo, Ohio on November 12, 1930. Growing up in Toledo, she had many friends from her graduating high school class and then continued her education and excelled in secretarial school. She had three beautiful children; Kathy, Pat and Jimmy and truly loved being a mother. She always worked hard to keep up with household duties and made sure the kids had a surprise snack when they came home from school each day!
After moving to Arlington, Texas in the mid 1970's she met and married the love of her life, Stephen Golovich. They recently celebrated their 37th wedding anniversary and their marriage was the absolute definition of true love and pure devotion. Steve was always by her side, taking care of her daily needs and singing her love songs until the very last day of her life. It was such a special relationship that makes all of our hearts happy to see how much she was loved.
Dolores worked as a secretary for the Texas Department of Energy for several years in Dallas, TX and enjoyed her free time with family. She lived close to her daughter and grandkids and loved the role of being a grandmother. She always attended holidays and activities with her grandkids throughout their lives and made so many special memories. She enjoyed the simple things in life and never took anything for granted. She had a passion for needle-point and baking and is forever remembered with a book in her hand or watching her favorite TV shows. She was a quiet, shy person but had an infectious smile and a kind and compassionate spirit. We will all miss her so dearly but she will never be forgotten.
Dolores was preceded in death by her parents, Mary and Aloysious (A.J.) Berres and her former husband James Poling. She is survived by her loving husband, Steve Golovich; her three children; Kathy Weigand, Pat Farah and Jimmy Poling, along with her three grandchildren; Tony, Amira, and Michael and two great grand-children; Samson and Simon.
