Edward Michael Kramar, 69, passed away, November 9, 2012 after a long battle with cancer.Ed was born on June 17, 1943 in Columbus, Nebraska to James and Marian Kramar. He attended school in Schuyler, Nebraska and graduated in 1961. After graduation he joined the US Navy and served from 1960 to 1966. On February 10, 1963 he married his childhood friend and high school sweetheart Dorothy Sladek. He worked for IBM for 40 years and after retirement built an autocross car with help from UTA students. He loved autocrossing with his son and son-in-law. He and Dorothy loved to travel and had been to all 50 states and Canada. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years Dorothy, 2 children; Gary Kramar of Arlington, and Laura and husband Phil Penner of North Richland Hills, 2 grandsons; Nick and Zack Penner, 2 sisters; Eileen and husband Bob Fricke of Rocky Ford, CO, and Mary Jo and husband Dale Rutt of Denver CO, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held Friday, 3 p.m. at the Moore Funeral Home, 1219 N. Davis Dr. Arlington, TX. Visitation will be held Thursday 6 to 8 p.m. Moore Funeral Home.
