

Elliot Allen Rettke, 33 of Arlington, passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2017. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at Moore Funeral Home, 1219 North Davis Drive, Arlington, Texas. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at Moore Memorial Gardens. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be Tim Tierney, Seamus Wilson, Michael Wilson, and David Hicks.
Elliot Allen Rettke was born in Arlington, Texas on February 26, 1983, the only child of Robert J. Rettke and Rhea Ann Beyer Rettke. He graduated from Treetops International School in Euless, Texas and went on to Lon Morris College in Jacksonville, Texas. His passions were traveling, fine cigars, spending time with his large circle of friends and numerous organizations. Elliot was a cigar consultant for Blue Smoke of Dallas and he loved his work. He loved to travel and had been to Europe three times before the age of 19. His most recent trip was to Madrid Spain with one of his best friends. Traveling with his grandmother, mother, and Connie Rogers he was very patient and acted as a tour guide for the “Ms. Daisies.” Elliot had several nicknames but most of his friends know him by “Spike.” He touched so many lives with his wit, generous nature and kindness.
Elliot is survived by his father and mother, Robert and Rhea Ann Rettke of Fort Worth, Texas, his grandmother, Nelda Beyer, who he cherished, of Arlington, Texas, his aunts Margaret Wilson (Tom) and Linda McDonald both of Franklin Grove, Illinois, Alice Rettke of Bloomington, Illinois, cousins, Nikki Welch of Clinton, Illinois, Jason Wilson of Harmon, Illinois and Jamie Wilson of Harmon, Illinois. He had a large extended family as well that loved him. He was preceded in death by his grandfather “Pa”, Allen Byer. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials to the charity of the givers choice.
