

Born on November 8th, 1938, in Plainview, Texas to Thurman and Sarah Watkins, Evelyn left school at an early age to help her mother with care of the family home and children. Evelyn married her husband, James Farrell Fisher on January 2nd, 1956, after his return from serving in the Korean War. They began a family right way and welcomed 3 children to the marriage.
An adventurous woman, Evelyn spent much time hunting and fishing. She was also a champion bowler and traveled around the country competing in tournaments. She always supported her favorite sporting team, the Dallas Cowboys, and was an avid collector of sports memorabilia. She also collected Barbies, Cabbage Patch Dolls, and Beanie Babies. The rest of her time was spent entertaining and cooking great meals and desserts for her family.
Evelyn is preceded in death by her parents Thurman and Sarah Watkins; Husband James Farrell Fisher; brother-in-law Dan Tidwell; and daughter-in-law Cindy Fisher.
She is survived by siblings Lucy Tidwell, Dorothy Golden (George), Bruce Watkins, Gail Gann, and Lisa Stephens; children Billy Fisher, Donna Battle (William), and Freddy Fisher (Susie); 7 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, as well as many other family members and friends. She will be greatly missed by all.
A memorial service will be held at Moore Funeral Home on February 1st, at 11:00 in the North Chapel.
