Evelyn Marie Seale passed away on Wednesday, March 26,2025 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on April 14, 1932 in Queen City, Texas to Granison and Lucille Riley. Mom grew up on a farm until she was eleven years old. When her father passed away the family moved to the city where she spent her teenage years in Atlanta, Texas. She met her future husband, Charles Seale at the local roller rink and married him when she was just 16. They were married for 74 years. They settled in Arlington and bought their home in 1958 and lived there until they passed away. She loved working in the yard. It was designed beautifully and was kept at perfection all the time. She spent countless hours working in the yard. She loved baking, music, camping and spending time at the lake, and spending time with all of her grand children.
She would wake us up singing, make our breakfast and lunches before she sent us off to school. When we would return home after school there would be fresh baked brownies or cookies. She made the best brownies! She also loved to sew and she made both her daughter's clothes until they were in their teens.
She was a very devoted wife and mother. She never had a bad word for anyone. Everyone remembers her smile and bubbly personality. She was just the best! She will be in all our hearts and will never be forgotten.
Mom was preceded in death by her parents and younger brother, Robert Riley.
She is survived by three children, Gary and his wife Sue, Terisa Coates, and Becky Costello.
Grandchildren: Jennifer Seale, Allison Jackson, Shane Judd, Amber Marek, Kale Coates, and Angela Swindell and great grandchildren Sydney Judd, Gwendolyn and Jude Jackson,, Asher Marek, Keegan Coates, and Andrew and Avery Swindell. Sister: Mamie Compton and many nieces and nephews.
