Grady Cooper, Jr., 89, a retired letter carrier, loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away Thursday, December 19, 2013, in Grapevine. Services will be 12:30 Monday, in Moore Funeral Home Chapel, 1219 N. Davis Drive, Arlington. Interment will follow in Moore Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 5:00 pm on Sunday at Moore Funeral Home. Grady was born May 20, 1924, in Nashville, Tennessee, to Grady and Maude Cooper. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Betty Bewick and Pat Eagle, and his wife of 59 years, Peggy. Grady was a Coast Guard veteran of World War II and took part in the invasion of Normandy on Omaha Beach. Survivors include his loving sister, Charlotte Pardue and husband, Roscoe; daughter, Sandra Honolka and husband, John; granddaughter, Susan Missimo and husband Derek; grandson, Danny Honolka and wife, Carrie; four great-grandchildren, Gabriella, Alexis, Carson, and Cayden, and numerous nieces and nephews.
