Huy Bui

Huy Bui, beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 20, 2026, at the age of 60. He was born on October 26, 1965, in a life filled with warmth, generosity, and a deep appreciation for the simple joys of family and discovery.

Huy's journey began with a strong foundation in education. He attended the University of Texas Arlington, graduating with a software engineering degree, equipping him with the skills to innovate and solve complex problems. During his professional career, colleagues and friends often spoke of his collaborative spirit and his ability to mentor younger engineers, fostering a supportive work environment.

Beyond his career, Huy had a deep appreciation for other cultures and experiences. At home, he was the heart of the household, devoting countless hours to spending quality time with his loved ones—whether it was an impromptu family karaoke night, backyard barbecues, seafood boils, or quiet evenings spending time together. His greatest joy came from celebrating the accomplishments of others—big or small. He believed in lifting others up, often going out of his way to offer help, whether through acts of kindness or quiet encouragement, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew him.

Huy was married for twenty-three years to his devoted wife, Diem Nguyen, who was his constant companion and greatest supporter. Together, they built a loving home and raised two wonderful children: daughter, Hannah Bui, and son, Wesley Bui. Huy was immensely proud of his children, guiding them with wisdom and love.

He is survived by his wife, Diem; his children, Hannah and Wesley; his mother, Mai; his father, Hai, and two brothers, Bang and Bao. Huy's legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew him. His absence is deeply felt, but his spirit continues to inspire generosity and joy in the world.

A memorial service will be held to honor his memory. May he rest in peace.
