

Joyce is survived by her sons, Richard Leslie Kahler (Barbara) of Kilmarnock, Virginia, William Page Kahler (Deborah) of Keller, Texas, and Keith Edward Kahler (Gwendolyn) of Parker, Colorado, and 5 grandchildren: Dustin Alexander Kahler, Shelley Joy Meaux (Steve), Kirsten Ashley Kahler, Saundra Marie Kahler, Keith Eric Kahler, and 1 great grandson, Lucien Albert Meaux.
Joyce was born on February 4th, 1933 in Ralls, Texas to Raleigh Keith and Eunice F. Page. She married Richard E. Kahler in the chapel at Randolph Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas on September 13, 1952.
Her husband was in the Air Force and they lived at many different bases in the U.S. and were stationed once in Paris, France. Joyce and her family had many adventures traveling to these sites. They enjoyed traveling and camping together throughout their lives.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Arlington for over 40 years where she helped with vestry and participated in the Sojourners Sunday school class.
Joyce attended nursing school in Lubbock, but her studies were interrupted by her marriage to Dick and the birth of her first son. When he retired from the Air Force and they moved to Arlington, Joyce resumed nursing school at UT Arlington, finishing her nursing degree. She worked as a nurse for a short time.
The inurnment is planned at the Pikes Peak National Cemetery in Colorado Springs, CO. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to St Jude, Texas Health Arlington Memorial Hospital Hospice Unit, or First United Methodist Church in Arlington, in her memory.
