Jack Bates, 83, a loving and caring husband, dad, brother and friend, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012, surrounded by his family. His loving wife Anne was waiting with open arms to be reunited, together forever, with their Heavenly Father.
Funeral: 12:30 p.m. Monday in Moore Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation: 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Moore Funeral Home.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your local Humane Society or animal rescue group.
Jack was born to Herbert and Leila Mae on Nov. 5, 1929, in Canton. He had a love of life, family and home. In 1947 he began his career working as a trust officer at Republic National Bank of Dallas where he and Anne met. They later married on May 17, 1952. In 1968, he was appointed to the position of assistant secretary on the corporate staff of LTV where he retired in 1991. Survivors: His children, Jackie, Mike and Polly; sister, Nawona Caldwell; brother, Kennie Bates; and many loving nieces, nephews and friends. He was also a loving grandfather to many dogs.
