James was born April 7, 1967 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Larry D. Huff and Sharon Henson Huff. He graduated from South Grand Prairie High School in 1985. James was self-employed in carpentry. He attended The Church on Rush Creek and had a passion for woodworking, the outdoors, and animals, especially his beloved dog C.C. which was short for Chocolate Chip. Survivors include his mother Sharon Huff, father Larry Huff and his wife Sarah, grandmother Edith Henson, sister Tammy Wright, brother Scott Huff and his wife Pam, step-sister Lori Sparks and her daughter Michaela, two nieces Ashlee Spencer and her husband Jon, and Kaylee Huff, and nephew Jarrod Wright.
