Jim was raised in Arlington where he attended and graduated from Bowie High School in 1983. He continued his education at Dallas Baptist University and earned his Bachelors degree.
He was a proud father of 4 wonderful children. Jim worked for many years at American Airlines Credit Union as a dedicated closer.
In his free time Jim enjoyed building Legos, watching movies and music videos, playing video games, working with RC cars, and cooking. During the holidays he loved building Christmas villages that his kids and grandkids adored. He enjoyed his trips to Costco and spending time with his dog Leo. Jim’s family will always remember him as a devoted Christian and a hardworking man, a father who took pride in everything he built and cared for. They will also remember his sense of humor and his many pranks.
Left to cherish his memory are his children Josh Lanzerio, Jonathan Lanzerio, and Julia Butler and her husband Zack, and his grandchildren Noah Lanzerio and Lucia Butler.
He will forever be loved, remembered, and honored by his family.
