James Wood Olstad

Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations in Jim's honor may be made to the University of Oklahoma Foundation for the Memorial Stadium expansion.

He was born July 30, 1947, in Enid, Okla., to Maynard Wood Olstad and Wanda Gertrude Morgan Olstad, both of whom preceded him in death.

Jim graduated proudly from Enid High School in 1965, and Phillips University in Enid, Okla., in 1969. Though he did not attend the University of Oklahoma, his loyalty to OU football never wavered. He served in the Air Force Reserve from 1968-1974, and enjoyed a lengthy and successful career in the oil industry, which began at Champlin Petroleum Company. Jim was a rock 'n' roller at heart, with a fondness for hot rods and brew, and an infectious grin.

Survivors: His wife, Pam of Frisco; sister, Sharon Bates and husband, Dick, of Edmond, Okla.; and children, Stephanie Olstad Ranco and husband, Darren, of Hampden, Maine, Susan Olstad Reasor and husband, Jason, of Frisco. He is also survived by six grandchildren, Holden, Sadie, Jude, Rachel, Wesley and Haley.
