She was born January 18, 1928, in Fort Worth Texas where she shared a lovely childhood with her parents and her brother Dan. She attended Fort Worth ISD schools and Texas Christian University. Jane met her beloved husband of 55 years, Thomas Champion, when they both worked at Texas Electric. They lived their entire married life in Arlington, Texas. She was an active member of Northwest Christian Church, where Tom was a founding member. Jane lived her last years at the Texas Masonic Retirement Center.
A graveside service will be held at Parkdale Cemetery, 701 S. Mary St, Arlington, Texas on February 1, 2024, at 11 am. She is survived by nephew Paul Barfield, niece Hillary Barfield, and extended family Teresa Pool, Barbara Beggs, Sinah Goode, and Spud Sullivan. A special thank you to her loving caregivers Roberta Jackson, Mary Gray, Kim Gray, Letha Sewell, Sherri Davis, Madeline Brown, and George Ballew. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Northwest Christian Church, 1521 N. Cooper St, Suite 335, Arlington, Texas 76011, or a charity of your choice.
