Jean Kenyon was born May 25, 1926 in Utica, New York to Clyde Kenyon and Ruth Roberts Kenyon. She was very popular in high school and was on the varsity cheerleader squad.
After graduating she entered the Army Nurse Cadet Corps program during WWII. While training in hospital, she met patient Frank A. Rainone, Jr., an ensign in the United States Navy.
She nursed him back to health, then married him. After the war she worked at A. Harris & Co in Dallas to help put her husband through Medical school. The couple settled in Arlington where she became active in Junior League and other civic organizations.
Survived by son, John Rainone and his wife, Jeannine Lescure Rainone, and grandson Jonathan (Nic) Rainone. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Friends of UTA Library, First United Methodist Church of Arlington, Alzheimer's Foundation of America.
