After fighting all he could fight, getting his ducks in a row, casting his vote and making sure his family was good, Jimmy Arthur Jaynes went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012. Service: 12:30 P.m. Tuesday at Moore Funeral Home, 1219 N. Davis Drive, Arlington 76012. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Moore Funeral Home. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society at www.LLS.org. Jim was born May 28, 1941, in Corbin, Ky. He graduated from Rockholds High School and attended University of Texas at Arlington. He went on to serve in the Air Force during the Vietnam War. His career was in the Street Lighting Industry and he retired from the city of Dallas. We are thankful the suffering is over and he's having some precious reunions with loved ones and getting things in order or at least "piles" until we meet again. Jim loved his family and he was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Rains. Survivors: He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Betty; his children, Candy and her husband, Landon Dodd, Anna and her husband, Scott White, Sean and his wife, Machel Jaynes; his grandchildren, Savannah and Cash Dodd, Maran and Landry White and Hunter and Maddie Jaynes; three sisters; and two brothers.
