Jo Ann Cantrell

She was born on January 9, 1931 in Olney, Texas to Jimmy and Evva Nichols. Jo Ann grew up and went to school in Weatherford Texas. She graduated from Weatherford High School in 1948. After marrying George in 1950, she relocated to Air Force bases in Utah and Illinois. JoAnn and George settled in Arlington Texas in 1955, raising four children.

JoAnn loved sewing, knitting, crocheting and making clothes. She enjoyed frequent trips with George to their Weatherford farm tending to garden and cattle. She was very active in the lives of her grandchildren.

JoAnn is survived by daughter Kitty Conway and husband Joel, daughter Sheri Rinn and husband Rick, and son Scott Cantrell and wife Linda. Jo Ann is also survived by grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband George, son Roy Cantrell, and granddaughter Kimberly Conway.

The visitation will be held from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Monday, May 18, 2026 at Moore Funeral Home in Arlington TX. The Funeral Service will be held at 1:00pm on Tuesday, May 19, 2026

followed by Internment at 2:00pm, both at Moore Funeral Home.
