Joy Elizabeth Chumbley

Joy Chumbley of Mansfield, TX passed away on October 20, 2024. She was born in Yuma, Arizona on May 27, 1930, to Newton Jackson and Hazel Boggs. Joy graduated from Northside High School in Fort Worth, Texas. She was married to her husband, Berleigh, on September 29, 1951, until his passing March 4, 2008.

Her greatest passion was being a homemaker for her two girls, Debbie and Carrie. She loved her family deeply. Joy attended Calvary Baptist Church. Her passion was watching her grandchildren play softball, the Texas Rangers, playing scrabble and shopping. Joy always enjoyed dressing her best and was a beautiful soul inside and out.

Joy is survived by her daughters, Debbie Mullen and Carrie (Mike) Delker; Grandchildren, Leslie (Tim) Estes, Kirk (Amanda) Mullen, Matt (Asor) Mullen, Julie Willard and Alyssa (Harrison) Delker; Sister, Barbara Ingola and numerous great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her sister, Kathleen Hicks.

Services to Celebrate the life of Joy Chumbley will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Calvary Baptist Church, 2101 S. Davis Drive Arlington, TX 76013.
