

Kathleen Doyle Kane, 84, Muggins to family and close friends, passed away peacefully in her home on Sunday, October 15, 2023. Kathleen was born in Washington, DC on January 4, 1939, to Joseph Edward Doyle and Maureen O’Connell Doyle. She grew up in Arlington, VA with brothers James and Joseph (Buddy) Doyle and sister Joanne Daft. Kathleen graduated from Holy Trinity High School in Georgetown, Washington, DC and worked in DC following graduation. She met her husband, Joseph (Joe) Kane, and they married on June 20, 1959, moving to Baltimore, MD. Six months later they moved to Philadelphia, PA and proceeded to have five children. She learned to play tennis in PA and spent many years honing her skills on the court. After twelve years in PA, they moved to Omaha, NE where she continued her love for tennis and learned to play bridge. Following seven years in NE, Kathleen and Joe moved their family to Arlington, TX. She worked for American Airlines and traveled to many countries around the world, retiring after twenty years. She was a longtime member of Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and a longtime member of Rolling Hills Country Club, where she took up golf in her later years. She loved her weekly card games with friends and enjoyed spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Kane, and her daughter, Leslie Kane.
She is survived by her children: Kathleen Pearson (Joseph), James Kane, Carolyn Rogan (Michael), and Michael Kane (Traci). Grandchildren: Kate Pearson (Damien), Shane Pearson, Kelly Jansen (Alex); Nick and Alex Kane; Zachary Rogan (Allie), Madison Rogan-Hernandez (Cody), Caroline Rogan; Emily Sheppard (Jacob), Turner Kane. Great grandchildren: Hugh Pearson and Winona Jansen; and extended family.
A visitation for Kathleen will be held Wednesday, October 25, 2023 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Moore Funeral Home in Arlington, Texas. A funeral mass will occur Thursday, October 26, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Arlington, Texas with a committal service immediately following at Moore Memorial Gardens.
