Lenora Scott Wilson passed away peacefully at the Forum in Houston, Texas on July 24th, 2020, at 101 years old. Lenora was born March 25th, 1919 in McCurtain, Oklahoma to James and Gussie Scott. She grew up in West Texas before moving to Ft. Worth, Texas. There she met and married Bundy Howard Wilson, after a whirlwind courtship of three months. They were happily married for 57 years and had one daughter, Starlett. Living in Arlington, Texas for most of their married life, Lenora worked for the justice of the peace for many years. They retired to East Texas and then eventually moved back to Ft. Worth. Lenora was preceded in death by her husband Bundy.
Lenora was a strong resilient woman devoted to her extended families. At a later time, she remarried Dearl Price, her high school sweetheart. They enjoyed time at their home in Gatesville until because of health reasons she moved to Houston.
She is survived by her daughter, Starlett, husband Ben Hollingsworth; grandchildren, Leslie Hollingsworth, husband Alfonso Hernandez, Leigh Copeland, husband Dan; great grandchildren, Benton Copeland, Riley Copeland and Chase Copeland; as well as many nieces, nephew and other close relatives and friends.
The family expresses their deep appreciation for the care and attention given to Lenora at the Forum Assisted Living Center. Special thanks also to Rosie Maldonado, Kim Pier and Carolina Molina for their compassionate care.
