Louis trusted Christ as Savior as an adult when a coworker, during their lunch hour, shared the good news of Jesus. From that point forward Louis committed his life to serving the Lord and leading his family to be obedient to God’s Word. Louis and Barbara were faithful members of Bethel Baptist Church for 25 years. Even in his final days he could be heard praying out loud for his children and grandchildren by name; that they would remain faithful to the Lord.
In addition to serving Christ, he was an employee at General Motors where he worked on the assembly line until his retirement after 32 years of service. After retiring Louis and Barbara moved back to his family’s homestead near the community of O’Farrell, Texas. Together they built a log cabin and joined O’Farrell Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and eventually pastored. Louis and Barbara enjoyed spending their final years at the farm with his brothers, sister and their spouses.
