Maria E. Suarez

Maria was born May 15, 1946 in Bishop, Texas to Delfino and Hortencia Cruz. She attended Bishop High School. She married the love of her life, Jesus Suarez, on December 15, 1963 and they had many happy years together. Maria had a career as a fashion sales consultant for Clothes Tree and Whatchamacallit. She assisted with many fashion shows in the Fort Worth and Arlington area and helped young ladies with their prom dresses.

Maria was also a longtime member of St. Joseph Catholic Parish and was a Eucharistic Minister. In her spare time, she loved to garden, paint, craft, sew, dabble in interior design, and enjoyed hosting gatherings for family and friends. Maria had a giving soul and was always taking care of others. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, friend, and Christian who will be greatly missed.

Survivors: husband of 58 years, Jesse Suarez; children, Irene Suarez and husband, Rodger Dewberry, David Suarez and Jason Suarez and wife, Manisha; grandchildren, Karen, Melanie, Brianna, Gabrielle, and Jackson; great-grandchildren, Madison, Carter, and Grant; brother, Delfino Cruz and wife, Yolanda; sister, Rosario Rodriguez and husband, Arnulfo; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial: 10 a.m. Tuesday, November 23, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1927 SW Green Oaks Blvd, Arlington, TX 76017. Interment: Moore Memorial Gardens. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, November 22, at Moore Funeral Home, 1219 N. Davis Dr., Arlington, TX 76012. A Rosary will take place at 6:30 p.m.
