

He was born in Fort Worth, TX on January 16, 1957. Mark graduated from Northside High School and received a business degree from Texas Wesleyan and a masters degree in business from TCU. He married Cindy Witt on December 31, 1975. Mark worked as a training coordinator at General Motors and was a member of the Texas Workforce Board of Tarrant County and was appointed to the State Workforce Commission.
Mark had a passion for learning and his willingness to help others was admirable. His love for playing instruments began with the harmonica. He taught himself to play the harmonica and the bass guitar. Mark really enjoyed his friendship with band members Jack, Larry and Herman playing at car shows on the weekends.
Mark could be described as a gentle soul that loved his family, community and his career.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Cindy; Sons, Andy, Brian (Elizabeth) and Michael (Adriene); Grandchildren, Reese, Mason, Ty, Stoney, Brice and Adelaide; Sister, Maria; Brothers, Ric and David.
He is preceded in death by his Parents, Guillermo and Doris Barberena and his brother, Mano.
Funeral Service to celebrate Mark will be held on Thursday, August 29, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Moore Funeral Home, 1219 North Davis Drive Arlington, TX 76012. Burial will follow the service in Moore Memorial Garden. The family will receive friends and family beginning Wednesday, August 28, 2024 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Moore Funeral Home.
