

Mark Kay Flippo (94), of Arlington, went to be with his Lord and his “Sweetie” Virginia on June, 21 2016. Services will be 11:00 am, Monday, June 27, 2016 at Moore Funeral Home Chapel in Arlington. No public visitation is planned. Burial will follow in Moore Memorial Gardens. He was born in Temple, Texas on January 31, 1922. After high school, Mark heard of job opportunities in San Diego, CA, but instead enlisted in the Navy. After his service to our country, he went to work at Consolidated Aircraft, San Diego, CA in August, 1941. In time, Consolidated Aircraft became part of General Dynamics and Mark transferred to the division in Ft. Worth, TX. He had numerous positions there and retired after 50 years. While at General Dynamics, he met and married Virginia Lance and they spent 39 years together. Mark was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church in Arlington. Mark was a Master Mason for 62 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, and his beloved wife Virginia. He leaves behind his step-daughter Nancy Schultz and her husband Eddie, his best friend of 34 years. Art Schwarm.
