

She was born in Hico Texas to Leonard and Lois McLendon on November 2, 1936.
Marlene was a retired Banker beginning her career at First National Bank of Hico, moving to Mercantile Bank in Fort Worth and later Security Bank in Arlington from which she retired. She was a graduate of the School of Banking-Madison (WI). In her lifetime she enjoyed her home, fishing, traveling, gardening, and golf with her many friends at Rolling Hills Country Club.
She is survived by her husband, Alvin Smith , daughter Kay Barrett of Aledo, Grandson David [Quincey] Callaway of Spring Branch, great grandchildren Averee and Zander Jenson, Barrett and Fox Callaway all of Spring Branch; sister Linda [Dave] Eastlake of Amarillo; nephew Randy Hopper of Amarillo; stepson Kerry Smith of Fort Worth; stepdaughter Kristina[Peter] Swan of Cedar Park and bonus grandson Parker Swan also of Cedar Park.
She was preceded in death by husbands, George Kilgo and Tom Moore; son, Mike Kilgo; and her parents. Interrment of ashes will be at a later date in the Hico Cemetery. The family requests in lieu of flowers a donation to Texas Health Arlington Memorial Hospital Community Hospice, The American Cancer Society, or your favorite charity in Marlene's honor.
