Service: 10 a.m. Thursday at Church of the Good Shepherd United Methodist, 2020 S. Collins St., Arlington. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Moore Funeral Home, 1219 N. Davis, Arlington.

Louise was preceded in death by her parents, Jackson Wilson and Effie Drew Tores; her husband, James "Jim" Airheart Sr.; and her sister, Lorene Blount.
Louise married Jim Airheart, a Navy pilot, in 1941. They settled in Arlington in 1961 just before his retirement from the Navy. She was an active member of Church of the Good Shepherd over 45 years. She was a charter member of United Methodist Women at Good Shepherd and was an officer in the UMW district. She was a charter member of the Arlington League of Women Voters and belonged to Arlington Storytellers and H.O.P.E tutoring. She worked for Arlington Youth Services. She was director of CONTACT help line. She was responsible for Dial-a-Prayer coming to the Fort Worth-Arlington area. She belonged to Carter Junior High PTA for three years and was president one year. She was a Cub Scout leader and an Arlington School substitute teacher. But most of all, she was a best friend to everyone she met.
Survivors: She was a great mother to Penny Fox and husband, Dan, John Airheart and wife, Lori, James "Jimbo" Airheart Jr. and wife, Betty, and Richard Airheart. She was a wonderful grandmother to Scott Carlisle, Jana Marshall, Steve Pitcock, Donna Shackelford, Christy Martinez, Steven Airheart and Michael Airheart. She loved her great-grandchildren, Ryan Marshall, Riley Marshall, Mason Marshall, Shannon Airheart, Megan Airheart, Derik Airheart and Gabriel Martinez. She was Aunt "Pinkie" to Beverly Trent and husband, David, and her daughters, April and Donna, and Fred Wayne Blount and his daughter, Lisa.
