June 24, 1941 - October 1, 2025
Mary Alice Kuykendall, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 1, 2025, at the age of 84. Born to Bill and Pearl McFarland in Dallas, Texas, Mary spent her life spreading love, warmth, and kindness to everyone she met.
She made her home in Bonham, Texas, where she shared a devoted marriage with her husband, Johnny P. Kuykendall. Together, they built a life centered around family, faith, and service. Mary is survived by her four children: Barbara Nash, Roy Davis, Chris Kuykendall, and Joel Custer; six grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren, all of whom were blessed by her unwavering love and care.
Mary had a deep passion for music and found joy working in the music business. She was a gifted cook, known for her delicious meals that brought family and friends together. Her favorite pastimes included playing dominos and card games, but her greatest joy came from babysitting her grandchildren and caring for her husband and home.
A woman of strong faith, Mary loved Jesus and lived her life as a true friend to anyone in need. Her generosity, compassion, and gentle spirit touched countless lives and left a legacy of love that will never be forgotten.
Her favorite Bible verse was:
John 3:16
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
Her family and friends will gather to celebrate her life and honor the beautiful soul she was. Details of the memorial service will be shared by the family.
