

Mary Agnes Turner Swaim, 92, of Grapevine, Texas, passed away peacefully on June 2, 2025. Mary was born on April 5, 1933, in Lynn, Massachusetts, to John and Mary Sullivan. She graduated from Lynn High School in 1951 and began her career with John Hancock Life Insurance Company in Boston. Her professional journey brought her to Fort Worth, Texas, where she continued working in the insurance industry for 25 years before transitioning to a fulfilling career in home health care. She found great joy in helping patients in their homes until her retirement.
A devoted Catholic, Mary’s faith guided every aspect of her life. She was an active member of several parishes throughout her life, including St. Ann Catholic Church in Burleson, where she participated in fundraising programs, served as a lector, taught Sunday School, and contributed to numerous church committees. At St. Rita Catholic Church in Fort Worth, she was a lector, Eucharistic Minister, and a member of the adult choir. At St. Francis Catholic Church in Grapevine, she found fellowship in Bible study classes and devotional groups.
Mary was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She welcomed everyone with kindness, compassion, and an open heart. Her listening ear and generous spirit touched the lives of many.
She is survived by her loving children, Theresa Jones and John Turner; her daughters-in-law Barbara Turner and Sally Turner; her son-in-law Melvin Pittman; her cherished grandchildren Heather Pittman, Brian Jones (and his wife Erin), Shawna Turner, and Leesa Turner; and her beloved great-grandchildren Blake Irving, Alexandria Irving, and Olivia Irving.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary Sullivan; her husbands, Wayne Turner and Gene Swaim; her son, David Turner; her mother- and father-in-law, Lela and Lee Turner; her Aunt Agnes and Uncle Connie Steeves; and many other dear relatives who have gone before her to be with the Lord.
Mary will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her legacy of faith, kindness, and love lives on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
