She was a member of the drill team at EHHS, took dance classes for many years at Barbara Wood School of Dance and was in Camp Fire since second grade. Melissa graduated from TCU with a B.S. in 1985 and the University of West Florida with a degree in education. Since 1991, she lived in Niceville, Fla., enjoying the beautiful white sand and emerald waters. She taught and loved her precious 4-year-old at the Niceville UMC Preschool Academy. She had a gift of connecting with young people and adults alike.
With a beautiful servants heart, she was always thinking and doing for others, impacting many lives. She lived a quality life in which the Lord was her focus and He is surely welcoming her royally into His kingdom. Melissa's great love and mission, other than God, was raising her son, Chris. She laid a solid foundation of the Christian life for him to follow. The Lord blessed Melissa with many close friends with whom she had a special bond and gave her tremendous joy and support.
