Pup was born on February 7, 1921 in Palo Pinto County, TX to Allen Dillard and Oma Dovie Blue Dillard.
He enlisted in the Army in September 1940, proudly serving his country as part of the Medical Detachment of the 319th Bomber Group, one of the few of a breed who served in World War II. Part of the European theater, Doc served with distinction and was discharged in January 1945. He later became a member of VFW Post 6111 in Arlington.
Omer was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Lola Dillard; his sister; and three brothers.
Survivors: Children, Brenda Bell, Patricia Warthern, Carol Roberts, Bobbie Wright, Michael Dillard and Janice Tibbatts; 15 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren; other family and many friends.
