

Funeral: Noon Saturday at First United Methodist Church, 313 N. Center St., Arlington. She will be laid to rest in Moore Memorial Gardens, 1219 N. Davis Drive, Arlington. Visitation: 11:30 a.m. to noon Saturday at the church.
Pansy was born Oct. 12, 1934, the daughter of Raymond and Ruthie Mayes. She grew up in Bogata, a place she always loved. She graduated from Bogata High School where she was a four-year letterman on the basketball team, a cheerleader and football sweetheart.
Pansy met the love of her life, Ray Skaggs, in 1952 and they married in October 1954. She was a loving wife, mother, Maw, Me-Maw, sister, aunt and friend. She loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ with all of her heart. Pansy loved to coach not only her children, but also her grandchildren. She taught them the ins and outs of swinging a bat and stopping grounders. She was their greatest fan and supporter. Pansy was an avid golfer and bridge player.
She was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church where she loved teaching children about Jesus through her time helping in Vacation Bible School. She was always a difference maker wherever she went. Bible Study Fellowship was a cornerstone of her walk with Jesus. She loved studying the word of God.
She will be loved and missed by anyone who knew her.
Survivors: Pansy is survived by her husband of 57 years; three children; six grandchildren; two sisters; and many nieces and nephews.
