

Patsy Belle Kluck, née Barnett, died peacefully at her home surrounded by family on February 6 in Ft. Worth, Texas at the age of 84. She is preceded in death by her sisters LaVonne Hampton and Judy Matelski.
Patsy was born on March 15, 1932 in Marlin, Texas to Addie and Hardy Barnett. She was the oldest of five girls. She graduated from Marlin High School where she played the clarinet in the marching band. She attended cosmetology school and worked as a hairdresser. She married Wilson Kluck on April 4, 1960 and they spent 56 wonderful years together. They have three children - Patsy, Rhonda and Kenneth.
Patsy fulfilled her dream of becoming a real estate agent in the 1970s. She was very successful and worked until the end of her life. She also donated her time to charities and organizations like the Ronald McDonald House, Meals on Wheels, church fundraisers, the PTA and Girl Scouts. Patsy was a firm believer in Jesus Christ and her strong faith in the Lord served her all her life. She was a dedicated member of the Church of Jesus Christ Ft. Worth Restoration Branch.
One of Patsy's hobbies was doing embroidery. She created hand towels and sheet sets that many treasure as family heirlooms. She also enjoyed all opportunities to travel and loved taking cruises with her husband, flying to places like Europe and traveling to see family. She was very active in the lives of her family and always hosted holiday gatherings at her home. She brought the family together through food, laughter and games, with her favorite being cards. She was an amazing storyteller and often entertained family and friends with stories about her life. One of the things she enjoyed most were the people she met and the friendships she made. Patsy was very outgoing and never met a stranger.
Patsy devoted her life to being a dedicated Christian, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by her husband, Wilson Kluck, and her children and their spouses, Patsy Openshaw and son-in-law, Larry, Rhonda Walsh and son-in-law, Pat, and Kenneth Kluck and daughter-in-law, Cindy. As well as her grandchildren and their spouses - Matthew Openshaw and partner, Eddie Meaders, Brandon Openshaw and his wife, Jami, Erin Openshaw, Jennifer Cary and her husband, Nathan, Amanda Walsh and her fiancé, Calvin Yang, Ryan Walsh, Kevin Kluck, Beth Kluck and Steven Kluck. She is also survived by her great grandchildren - Damian Openshaw, Ethan Cary, Emma Cary and baby girl Yang to arrive in April. As well as her sisters and their spouses - Billie Jones and brother-in-law, James Walton, and Linda Kleypas and brother-in-law, Lloyd. She is also survived by her brother-in-law, Ray Hampton. Her nephew Brad Hampton and his wife, Vanessa, and their children, Lucas and Landon. As well as her nephew Jeff Hampton and his wife, Theresa, and their daughters Allison and Brooke. Her niece Judy Keith and her husband, Robert, and their children, Hailey and Evan. Her niece Lisa Ellis and her husband, Greg, and their children, Griffin and Lindsay. Her nephew, Ki, and his wife, Ginger. Her brother-in-law, Gene Matelski. Her niece Necy Thigpen and her husband, Todd, their three children and three grandchildren. Her nephew Martin Matelski, his daughter and two grandchildren. As well as her uncle, Jack Barnett, and other extended family.
A funeral is scheduled for Saturday, February 11 at Moore Funeral Home, 1219 North Davis Drive, Arlington, TX, 76012. Visitation is from 12 - 2 p.m. and the service starts at 2 p.m. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Patsy’s life.
