It is with both joy and a heavy heart that we celebrate the passing of our father, Paul David White who died in Arlington, Texas on June 5th, 2025, surrounded by his extended family. He was born July 23rd, 1942, in Dallas Texas.
Dad was a loving father and husband, fisherman, craftsman, being accomplished at blowing glass and woodworking, avid reader, and lover of history. He worked for the bulk of his career as an estimator and engineer at Federal Sign Company, the largest sign company in the world. Of note, he introduced computer automation to the estimating process in the 1980’s.
He will be best remembered for his cunning sense of humor which showed through even in the last hours of his life. He battled Stage 3 Metastatic Melanoma in his 50’s and survived due to the excellent medical care he received at MD Anderson Hospital. He developed aggressive prostate cancer over 10 years ago, which ultimately was the cause of his death.
He is preceded in death by his wife and our mother, Linda G. White, his mother Mary Elizabeth Sims, father John David White, Sr. His brother Benny White, Sr. and his wife Marilyn White, and their son Benny “Bubba” White, Jr., his brother John “Johnny” David White, Jr., his daughters Teresa and Barbara White, our aunt Inez White, and our brother Samuel E.
