Peggy J. Cummings

Mrs. Cummings was born July 5th,1928 in Simms, Texas and raised on a farm in Texarkana, with 7 brothers and one sister. On June 16th, 1945 she married Welton Cummings. They moved to Pantego, TX in 1950 and settled in Dalworthington Gardens in 1958. They were long time members of the Arlington West Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Welton and Peggy were married for 52 years before his death in 1997.

Peggy was a devoted Christian, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be remembered for her love for Welton and their family, and loyalty to friends. She was the ideal homemaker, a seamstress, an excellent cook and a great friend to many. She was loved by all and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her son, Donnie Cummings (Donna Hensiek); grandchildren, Jennifer Cummings Konovalski (Marty), Wendy Cummings Sheets (Todd), Deanna Cummings, Natalie Cummings, and Neal Cummings; 8 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Peggy was preceded in death by her husband Welton Cummings; son, Jerry Cummings; brothers, Hugh, Ralph, Robert, Bill, Lyndon, Buster and A.T. Lindsey; and her sister, Gene Bowden.

The funeral service will be 10am Monday, February 22nd at Moore Funeral Home in Arlington, Texas, with the burial to follow at Moore Memorial Gardens.
