

Raymond David Jordan, a kind and devoted family man, passed away peacefully on April 17, 2025. Born in 1939, David grew up with humble beginnings, raised by his loving grandparents as the oldest of six siblings. From a young age, he showed a strong work ethic and determination, starting as a paperboy and later building a lifelong career as a journeyman pressman at the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. At work, he was known as “Tootie” and had a reputation for having a generous heart.
David lived a simple, beautiful life rooted in love, hard work, and a deep devotion to family. His gentle spirit, quick wit, and sense of humor made him beloved by everyone who knew him. David shared 63 wonderful years of marriage with his wife, Norma Jordan, who stood faithfully by his side through every season of life. Together they raised two daughters, Terri Haugaard and Lori Blake (Gary Blake), and built a family legacy that now includes five adoring grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Grandchildren are Cori Haugaard, Bailey Wofford (DeAntae Wofford), Mae Pham (Anh Pham), Shelby McKelvain (Brandon McKelvain), and Cody Blake.
He was especially proud to be involved in his children’s lives, never missing a moment to support them. David coached his daughters’ sports teams and was a constant, encouraging presence on the sidelines at every game. His dedication as a father extended far beyond the field, showing his daughters the true meaning of commitment, love, and support.
David will be remembered for his kindness, his laughter, and his fierce love for his family. His life stands as a testament to the power of perseverance, humility, and love. He leaves behind a legacy that will live on through the countless lives he touched with his warmth and generosity.
