

Robbie Lee Nelson passed away on January 19, 2014 at Medical Center of Arlington. She was born on June 14, 1935 to Lois Franklin Boone and Grady L. Boone. She was preceded in death by her husband Leon Nelson, daughter Cheryl Elaine Bowman, her sisters Katherine Dixon, Bonnie Releford and Aline Darensbourg.
With the blessing of being raised in a loving Christian home, Robbie devoted her life to Christ at an early age and was baptized. She was a lifelong member of Macedonia Baptist Church in Midland, Texas, where she was active in the choir, decorating committee and various other organizations.
Robbie received formal education from Gibbins High School in Paris, Texas and she also attended nursing school in Odessa, Texas and worked as a nurse for years in Midland, Texas. Robbie was an Eastern Star and affiliated with Daughters of Zion in Midland, Texas; she was very active in her community.
She is survived by her children, Donna N. Williams and husband Michael, Arlington, Texas; Leon Nelson, Jr., Austin, Texas; Reverend Kevin L. Nelson and wife MaeEtta, Midland, Texas and her granddaughter, Kendall Faith Nelson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.
After the service please join the family and friends for lunch and fellowship at Rolling Hills Country Club (5 minutes away) at 2:00 pm.
