

Service: 2 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church of Arlington. Visitation: with family will be 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Moore Funeral Home, North Davis Drive, Arlington.

Bob was born June 12, 1923, in Enid, Okla., the son of Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Osburn.
He was an officer in the United States Marine Corps and served in World War II. He married Wanda Longshore, his college sweetheart, in 1944, one day after he was commissioned as second lieutenant at Quantico, Va. They have two children, a son, Robert Donald Osburn Jr., and a daughter, Jean Cagle.
Bob worked for Texas Bitulithic Construction Company, a division of Ashland Oil Co. He worked first in the field and later as an estimator, retiring as chief estimator after 30-plus years with the company.
He was a member of First Baptist Church since coming to Arlington. He worked in the Sunday school and Training Union, and served as both greeter and usher for many years.
Survivors: His wife, Wanda; son, Don; daughter, Jean; grandson, Curtis Osburn and wife, Jordan; great-grandson, Colton; brother-in-law, the Rev. Robert Longshore and family; sister-in-law, Jean Bowman and family; a number of nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
