It is so very difficult to write an obituary for a loved one. But, alas, I must do so for our dear and precious son, Robbie, 40.
Robbie passed away so unexpectedly on October 7, 2023. It is the day of joy and happiness in our lives ended. How can a Mom and Dad lose the most cherished thing in their lives?
Once he was our little boy, then he became a man before our eyes, and now he's gone to be one of God's chosen. We never had the chance to try to keep Robbie with us or to say goodbye.
But, now he is our Guardian Angel watching over us as he did in life.
Our hearts have been shattered beyond repair. Each moment, each thought, each memory brings torrents of tears.
Robbie brightened the lives of all he met. Even just a passing hello was enough to cement his funny personality in one's mind. Robbie overcame many challenges in his life. But, he loved everyone and his glittering smile was like the sunrise.
His ecstasy in being a staff member of the Texas Rangers Baseball Team for seventeen years endlessly delighted Robbie. If he could he would have lived in a tent in Center Field. Robbie had a passion for video games. He loved the challenge of winning a major sports game with one of his fantasy teams. He always had one in a hand.
Robbie was preceded in his final rest by his beloved Grandparents, John and Treva and by his Uncle, Chris. He is with them now.
He is survived by Mom and Dad: Linda and Ron.
Robbie will forever be deep within all of our broken hearts. How many tears do we have to shed to understand why he left us?
A visitation will be held at Moore Funeral Home in Arlington, Texas on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. with a funeral service to immediately follow at 2:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers please consider a donation in Robbie's name to Texas Rangers Foundation, Military & First Responders in Robbie's name (https://www.mlb.com/rangers/community/foundation/military-and-first-responders).
For my son by Dad.
