Ronald was born in Flint, Mich., on Oct. 25, 1937, to Lemuel Carl Smith and Myrtle Margarete Taylor. He attended Flushing Community High School. On Nov. 29, 2008, he married Janis Eileen Morrow. Ron had a career as a millwright for Bell Helicopter and was a member of UAW 218. He had a passion for deer hunting.
Ronald was preceded in death by: wife, Mary Harcrow Smith; his parents; and two siblings, Lois Dunman and Joy Grainger.
Survivors: Those left behind to cherish his memory are: his wife, Janis Smith; his siblings, Joan Kidd, Wayne Smith, Loraine Clark and Darlene Sears; stepchildren, Rickey Harcrow, David Harcrow, Beverly Morgan, Mark Harcrow, Shari Kennington, Randy Earwood and Les Earwood; and several stepgrandchildren and great-grandchildren.
