Shirley Sue Hyde

Shirley Sue Michel Hyde, age 84, passed away on Sunday, December 28, 2014. She was born on May 19, 1930, in Red Oak, Iowa. She graduated high school in 1948 and went on to become a Registered Nurse. She graduated nurses training from Methodist Hospital in Omaha, NE in 1951. She was married to Dr. Burt E. Hyde for 47 years and resided in Texas for most of her life. She was a Life Master in bridge, an accomplishment she was very proud of. She enjoyed watching all sports, but especially loved the Texas Rangers. Being with her ever-growing family gave her great joy. She was loved by many, will be missed by all who knew her, and is now in the loving arms of our Savior, Jesus Christ.

She is survived by her brother, Raymond Allen Michel; her 5 children, Janet Michelle Grentz, Julia Ann Hyde, Joan Marie Vidrine, John Paul Hyde, and Jennifer Sue Hyde Brown. She had 9 grandchildren, Joseph Tod Vidrine, Ethan Cornell Vidrine, Samuel Michael Vidrine, Amy Michelle Grentz, Laura Beth Grentz, Sarah Ann Ritchie, Rachel Sue Jama, Spencer Thomas Brown, and Julia Elaine Brown. And the one who made her a Great Grandma Haydn Elizabeth Jama.

Funeral arrangements will be held at Moore Funeral Home (Davis location) 1219 N. Davis Drive, Arlington, TX, 76012. Viewing and visitation will be on Friday, January 2, 2015, from 6-8 pm. Funeral service will be at 10am on Saturday, January 3, 2015. Graveside service will immediately follow.

A reception will be held in the afternoon following the service at 1108 Oakridge Drive in Euless, TX, 76040. Feel free to come by and visit with the family.
