Shirlyn Sloan, age 61 of Grand Prairie, TX passed away August 23, 2016. She was born on November 13, 1954 in Fort Worth, TX to Charles and Betty Johnson. She married Fredrick Sloan on March 30, 1980 in Fort Worth, TX. She worked for the University of Texas at Arlington for 21 years.
She is greatly remembered by her husband of 42 years, Fredrick; sons, Aaron Sloan and Quincy Sloan; mother, Betty Fuller; siblings, Eva Joyce Bonner (Joseph), Charlene Taylor (Don), Charles Johnson, Jr. and Edward Lee Johnson; grandchildren, E.J. and Kylei; aunts, Paulett McCowan and Ruby Ferguson; uncle, Booker T. Thomas; in-laws, Mary Smith, Willie David Sloan and Sara Williams; numerous other extended family and many friends and co-workers.
Visitation will be held from 6:00pm - 8:00pm, Monday, August 29, 2016 at Moore Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 2:00pm, August 30, 2016 also at the funeral home. A catered reception will be held at the funeral home, following the service on Tuesday.
