Stephen "Ghost" Boyd Woody

A high school graduate with some college experience, Stephen found himself working in telephone electronics and communications. He also received advanced training during his time serving his country with the Air Force and was honorably discharged. A loving father, devoted husband, and hard worker, he loved to spend time creating things, had a weakness for the ladies, and even helped start the Tarrant county toy drive for children in need.

Everyone knew him as a woodworking magician, but nothing has his attention more than his beloved motorcycles. He loved anything related to his favorite hobby including motorcycle models and collecting Harley-Davidson memorabilia.

Stephen is survived by his daughters Wendy Woody of El Cajon, California, Donna Payne of Durham, North Carolina, and Jackie Woody of Durham, North Carolina, grandsons Stephen Payne, Jr., and Chase Payne, his sister Jean Woody, and his ex-wives Billie G. Woody and Jeanie Hayes. He will be dearly missed by many other family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in his honor to the Lena Pope Home at www.lenapope.org as Stephen was adopted and was always mindful of children’s needs.

A memorial visitation will be held from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. at Moore Funeral Home, 1219 North Davis Drive, Arlington, Texas 76012 on Sunday, March 3, 2019.
