

She enlisted in the US Navy in 1944 and was honorably discharged in 1946. She served in the Philadelphia Naval Hospital as a Pharmacist Mate.
In 1946, she met her future husband, Harold Henson, in Fort Worth at church. They were married in Fort Worth in December 1946, and remained married until his death in 2010.
Sybil served as a Sunday School teacher, Benevolence worker, Camp Fire leader, and Cub Scout Den mother (twice). While raising her children she maintained a home, garden and yard. She taught strong Christian principles to her children through her many acts of kindness and love.
She cared for her mother, Linnie Bicknell, her aunt Myrtle Goins, and was always ready to help those in need. She had strong connections to her siblings, enjoying talking and gathering with them.
She is survived by her children, Ed and his wife Crickett, Sally, and Hal and his wife Jennifer. Her grandsons, Robert with his wife Jami, Chris with wife Maryam, and one great-grand child, Joshua. She is also survived by one of her siblings, Jean Hyden, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
A visitation service will be held on Saturday, June 1 at 12:00 pm followed with a funeral service at 2:00 pm also on Saturday, June 1 at 2:00 pm, both at Moore Funeral Home in Arlington.
