

Tu Dao Duong, age 80, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 after a long illness. She was the beloved wife of Khiem and loving mother to Huy, Andy, and Lien. Tu was born in Hanoi, Vietnam on November 11, 1935 and came to the United States with her family in 1975. They first settled in Cotter, Arkansas before moving the family to the Dallas/Fort Worth area where they would remain for the next four decades. She had a passion for music and a keen sense of humor. She exhibited tenacity and courage throughout her life right to the end. She will be remembered for her vivacious spirit, caring nature, ability to tell stories, and her love for the Dallas Cowboys.
She is survived by her husband, Khiem Xuan Duong; three children, Huy (Angela) Duong of Fort Worth, Hoang (Melissa) Duong of Dallas, and Lien (Brandon) Zimmerman of New York; 6 grandchildren, Jordan Naser, Kirsten Duong, Callie Naser, Mylie Duong, Cole and Logan Zimmerman; 2 brothers, Quynh Dao and Huyen Dao and 3 sisters, Thuc-Anh Nguyen, Hang Buscara, and Thuy Cleveland; and many nieces and nephews across the globe. She will join her mother and father, and 3 brothers, Liet, Tuan, and Uyen.
Prayer Service will begin at 9:00 am on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 with cremation following at 11:00 am at Moore Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 in the chapel at the funeral home.
