Virginia Hope

Virginia Hope, 85, passed away January 19, 2023, in Arlington, TX. She is preceded by her parents Ruby and Edwin Watkins, her brothers Billy & Jimmy Watkins, and her sister Marie Usrey and her husband, A.F. Hope. Survivors include her son, Barry Hope, daughter, LaDonna Hogan, son-in-law Cris Hogan, daughter-in-law, Tanya Hope, granddaughter, Brittany Hope. Nephew Eric Usrey, multiple cousins and extended family. Virginia was born to Ruby (Jeff) and Edwin Watkins on April 16, 1937. She attended Arlington High School and graduated in 1955. She found her career in the education system working as a librarian for elementary schools in Arlington. She enjoyed being around children and as a librarian directing them to books that would encourage reading. Also, she helped children increase their reading skills during her career. She was a care giver to her parents and husband when they could no longer care for themselves. Visitation will be held at Moore Funeral Home, 1219 North Davis Drive, Arlington, TX, on January 24, 2023, 9:00 am – 10:00 am. Funeral Services will be held at Moore Funeral Home, 1219 North Davis Drive, Arlington, TX, on January 24, 2023, at 10:00 am – 11:00 am. Burial will immediately follow at Moore Memorial Gardens.
